Emirates Airline -Everything You Need To Know About It

 We Are Going to disscuss Emirate`s history, fleet, growth , major accident`s and overall how`s the airline.




*Brief Intro & History


Emirates is an airline based in Dubai on ,United Arab Emirates. The airline is a subsidiary of The Emirates Group, which is wholly owned by the government of Dubai's Investment Corporation of Dubai.[3] It is the largest airline in the Middle East, operating over 3,600 flights per week from its hub at Dubai International Airport, to more than 140 cities in 81 countries across six continents.




Founded on -25 March 1985




  Founded due to gulf air had lessened its flight to Dubai so with backing from Dubai's royal family and  with the help of Pakistan International Airlines providing two of the airline's first aircraft on wet-lease. With $10 million in start-up capital it was required to operate independently of government subsidy.




*Fleet- Total 253 aircrafts covering 157 destination`s in the world.

It`s one of the few airline`s to operate a all wide body fleet and is also the world`s largest operator of boeing 777`s and airbus A380`s in the world.

Growth Since It`s Formation


Airline which was founded as a result of reduction in Gulf Airway`s routes  has grown exceptionally, It`s always placing order`s for new & better aircrafts ,The airline signed contracts for 120 Airbus A350s, 150 Boeing 777X ,50 Airbus A380 aircraft
 and many more are on the order`s.




Right from it`s formation it`s never experienced any loses with a miimum 21% profit everyear , last years profit stand`s at around a whopping 61% , the airline is just on profit spree.


Emirates also faces competition from other UAE-based airlines, Etihad Airways of Abu Dhabi and the low-budget Air Arabia of Sharjah,[166] as well as Qatar Airways of Qatar.


The Year 2000 was a very spectacular year for Emirtaes it placed it`s order for the 15 Airbus A380`s and also 25 777`s and in that same year Emirates launched its  Skyward`s programme , it didn`t join the Star alliance and all and created one loyality programme for itself the only of this programme is to get points when you fly Emirates unlilke Star alliance where you much more benefit`s , but as its said something is always better than nothing.




Whatever we may  say , but all of emirate`s move have led them to this huge  profit`s and it`s no surprise as eventhough emirtaes is government run but it`s been run by professional`s in that field and not politician`s unlike some airline`s if you want to know what I am talking here than go and watch my Air India video to learn more about this.


Accidents and incidents-


Only 3 incident`s have taken place in it`s 30+ operating period & only one of them  Ek- 521 from Triv to Dubai in which the aircraft crash landed at the runway, was severe enough in which one firefighter  lost his life trying to calm the blaze, it`s been a very safe airline and hardly had any major issues in it`s operating history.


The other 2 weren't that major and no one was hurt either.

Emirates has been 1 intesting airline and with it`s buisennes module and the way the airline function`s has always kept many other rival`s envious of it , and if it continuous to do so than in no time it will reach to all part`s of the world but also come out as the best.
